It's a shame that Solgaleo is just a poor's man Megagross but hey, at least we got Lunala which is pretty nice since Ghost is one of the best attacking types

Probably many people know this already but I didn't know so I guess I'll post it:
Slaking has the highest BST out of any non-legendary pokemon, at a whopping 670. I now understand why GF gave it Truant (which is overkill imo). It also shares the highest base attack stat of the normal type pokemon, along with Regigigas at 160

Seems Sugaleo is an inbetween of regular and Mega Metagross in terms of stats. It can use a great attack boosting move, Z-Splash, which Metagross lacks, and has a ton more HP.
