PSS was fantastic, Super Training was quite nice because of Reset Bags, Wonder Trade, availability of almost every Pokemon, shiny hunting had tons of options, Secret Bases were MUCH better with Wifi, the Hoenn E4 got a much needed buff in the rematches, Wally's last battle with the player was so good (unless you used the Exp Share in which case it was a curbstomp like the rest of the game), the Deoxys battle was great, and some of the legendaries were actually somewhat difficult to catch.

I genuinely liked Gen 6, but I can definitely see why people wouldn't.

Overpowered Early Megas, really horrible Kanto pandering. Alola panders Kanto, but not as bad in a way as Kalos did, Mega Lucario (an Overpowered mega mon) handed to you early in the game, it'll also be your first mega. Also your fucking "rivals" were literal fucking faggots and deserve to be demolished from this planet honestly, they were the worst NPCs Pokemon has ever had.

Not to mention mons like fucking Mewtwo get 2 megas, aswell as Rayquaza and Diancie also getting megas, and Rayquaza not even requiring a mega stone to mega evolve (which is one of the reasons it's the AG mon) for some lore reason. Don't get me wrong, I GUESS it makes sense, but it's still unfair.

Also, why is Mewtwo in Kalos? There's literally no reason at all other for an excuse for you to get it without trading from another game just for the mega stones. Zygarde in Alola DOES make sense, though. and Zygarde's formes are fucking amazing.
