Regardless of when, Garchomp becoming a bad Pokémon would be the proof that the game went completely shit.

Garchomp is one of the best built Pokémon, splashable and reliable, yet isn't overcentralizing (in doubles); if somehow this thing becomes bad, it'll be a sign that the game is way worse and the powercreep got out of hand.

When they make a dragon with 103 or higher speed and intimidate

Singles: when the speed creep starts up again (despite Gen 7's attempt to reverse it) and 105 becomes the new 100 like it was going to. Garchomp's special snowflake 102 base speed is part of why it's so good.

Doubles: when auto Misty and Grassy Terrain become more widespread (Aromatisse and Florges both only have one normal ability at the moment wink wink) - Misty weakens Dragon moves and Grassy weakens Earthquake. This VGC is the worst Garchomp has ever been desu.
