>Go to swim team meet, massive amount of people (400+)
>See 13-14 year old girl playing Pokemon Diamond Underground
>Get on
>Take Flag
>Hear her scream "WHO THE FUCK TOOK MY FLAG" as she looks around
>Don't notice me senpai
>Direct eye contact made with my DS in hand
>My Emergency Exit activates
>Fucking run to my older sister on the verge of tears
>Still capture that flag
>Go into Metal Gear mode for rest of meet

>A little while back
>Hobby store has a tournament
>figure it would be all tourneyfags so I bring my team of shitty Karenmons to it
>get there and it's all young kids
>A kid maybe 10 years old offers to battle me
>the prize was just gift cards to the store and so I want to lose to the kid on purpose to make him feel better
>use a team of Pokemon I used for the story instead of my EV/IV pokemon to make it easier
>to make it look like a challenge I threw 5 pokemon by boosting too much while he got in super effective hits
>last Pokemon is a dragalge versus his gyarados
>use surf to damage it a little bit
>he uses surf and fire blast to do even less damage to me and eventually I crit it and win


He didn't seem too upset but I felt like such an asshole

>Thought that defeating a pokemon made your pokemon absorb their power, hence XP (wasn't too far off with EVs)
>Grind a bunch to absorb as much power as possible
>Playing emerald for the first time with this mentality
>Enter the fug
>Beat it
>"Oh boy! My pokemon absorbed a Legendary! Now it's unstoppable!"

I still play it from time to time.

>Even with our in game ORAS teams, I swamped him

Currently haven't fought him in SM, because he's been on hard times and hadn't had the chance to pick up the game. But this time around I chose the starter he's weak to, so there's that.
