Took me less then 15 minutes to get a destiny knot from a pickup mon. Also BT isn't all that hard even with your in-game mons. Not the best options in the world but not all that difficult either.

That's not the point I was trying to make at all. What I'm saying is the more gf makes things complicated, the more people will be drawn to hacking. In fact this decision seems counterintuitive to the mindset behind lots of the mechanic changes throughout the years
For example, if breeding was as complicated as it was in Gen III, with no Destiny Knot/Everstone exploit, no power items or super training, the number of injectors would be much higher. Simply put, people are more willing to play by the rules the more those rules don't alienate them. It's psychology/game design 101. No matter what there will be people that will inject regardless on how easy a certain item/pokemon is to obtain, I know that, but on the other hand there are tons of people that are "on the verge", who consider the pros and cons of injencting before doing it. The issue is not black and white. People who refuse to hack any pokemon, people who will hack a perfect Ditto but nothing else, people who will hack only legal pokemon, people who will hack straightup illegal movesets... The friendlier the breeding mechanics are, the more likely people in the third group are to migrate in the second group, and people in the second group migrate in the first one. On the contrary, the more complicated things are, the more people will be drawn to hacking

If you have Snorlium and Mewnium, you are fugged if you want to start a new game. You can't get them again unless you are le injecter.
