I did leave /vp/ for /v/ during the dry season but their idea of fun is terrible and almost nothing happens over there so I just had to come back.

It's the least bad place to discuss Pokémon on the Internet. Everyone else is either too full of genwunners (I don't mind Genwun, just the people who dismiss the newer Gens on principle) or they love everything blindly without critical thought. There are people who like the Gens I like and dislike the Gens I dislike, and also people with the exact opposite opinion, meaning I'll always have someone to argue with. As someone who loves arguing over petty shit it's always welcome, except that one guy who likes Zinnia, his taste and arguments are so shit that I can't derive enjoyment from that.

Also the ROMhacking threads were good for a long time before they got filled with shitposters.

It's more specialized to something that I relate to.
I used to frequent /co/ but even at the best of times I only cared about maybe 3-5 threads any given day.
Whereas because /vp/ is specialized to a single franchise, there is far more activity on the board that I'm likely to want to scan through.
