People are getting banned for modifying items now. They see exactly how many people participate, so there can't be more than that many mega stones. You have to connect online to participate so they know who is getting the stone, if some schmuck randomly has one out of nowhere enjoy getting banned.

Because Terraria is probably the only game they're working on. GF already finishes the developement of the next games. SM will be completely abondoned the second the next games are out. Updating it is pointless since it's basically throwing money away that doesn't give them anything in return especially since they can use that money on developing their next game. Are you high? If you want Audinite you cannot have it, end of story, unless you happen to know about the event and enter it. If you get the game late, you cannot get an Audinite at all without trading or hacking.

People only got banned for putting items in the wrong pocket (and for some other, similarly retarded shit, but that's all regarding items). Personally whenever I want to add a new item to a game, I always play it really safe by adding it to a Pokémon and then adding it to the Bag in-game so I don't risk fucking up my save (this is especially useful in Gen 2, where you can fuck up your bag by accidentally removing the Cancel icon if you edit your save wrong). Then I can edit the quantity of the item once it's in the bag.
