Where is the electric guitar in gen 6? I can't remember a track with a single guitar riff... I found it to be mostly electronic inspired

Vocals maybe? There did seem to be a lot more vocals in SM's OST compared to other games, though I dunno if it's enough to count it as "main."

Right off the top of my head there's the main theme, all of Team Skull's themes, Lusamine's battle theme, the Tapus' battle theme, and the credits.

I think it'll have to be this. The vocals really stood out.

Gen 7 is medley IMO, there's a crazy amount of references to songs throughout the series. Like the normal battle theme is a weird mashup of every battle theme before this one.

I'd say bass guitar (Gladion, Elite 4, Kahuna, Team SKull Admin, Royal battle).

Evil and ominous themes either have an emphasis on violon (Aether, Lusamine, Red/Blue), or heavy on synth (UBs, Totem, Solgaleo/Lunaala, Guzma, Guardians)
