Alright there appears to be something weird here.

Zero Mews have been sent. I cannot find anyone, that includes the rarer requests as well. I'm assuming that requests for Mew might be hidden or something?

I tested to make sure these were tradeable through Wondertrade and it worked. I assumed it would be the same for GTS.

It doesn't work for GTS :c It's been tried before, Mew's banned.

Do you have to have mew in the "Pokemon Wanted" option? He isn't even in my Pokedex.

In 1 hour I had the 8F key item. After that it's just busy work for the "materials" needed for the conversion.

Fortune Tellers give you certain buffs for FC received for performing certain activities in your Plaza. They can double and triple the amount of FC you gain for the whole duration. The fastest way to grind FC is obtaining a Festival Plaza Buff (Good Luck in the Festival Plaza) and then answering the red speech bubble visitors. These buffs are rare though. I had a very good fortune plaza one and straight up farmed 15k points in a day and I was being lazy because it gets boring after a while.

Honestly, I'm not sure why Gamefreak didn't just add another mark for illegitimate event Pokemon

Would have solved all the issues. Most people would not care - not like mythicals are allowed in VGCs anyways, and most just want Mew or Celebi to have it. This would have allowed the glitched Mew to transfer, meant there would be virtually no reason to even bother making the 8F code, and would have allowed people who care about legitimacy that much to quickly identify if it was a valuable Mew or easily generated junk

But nope, they decided to not only leave all glitches in, but also assumed they could block the Mew despite one of the glitches being arbitrary code execution

I'm not sure if it's arrogance or incompetency (although, considering it's Gamefreak, betting on incompetency)
