I was a Musou fan before Pokémon Conquest, and hearing stuff like this makes my bitter heart a little happier.

Try playing the chapters that are at least 3 or 4 stars.
And in fact, the final chapter has a whole new level of AI; it doesn't attack at random and know how to keep their castles protected.
Also, the moral boost for the opponents if you try to conquer too quickly stops you right in the tracks.

This said, yes, the Guardian Charm is broken as fuck but saying that the AI is retarded shows that you barely played the "tutorial".
