Because sprites are how real art shines. 3D is bland and unimaginative in comparison.

Especially since GF have been rehashing the same 3D models over the past 3 games since they are lazy now.

It's quite sad.

this is probably one of the most random examples, but Flaaffy 's design in G/S/C looks so much better through the small details

darker colors/bigger head/wider body/no visible nostril lines make it look cuter

well here's another one that looked better in Gen 2

Because Crystal is the best pokemon game ever. Most cucks fell in love with hgss but crystal where's it at.

Also the houndoom stomping and howling was cool, made it look like a badass, now it looks like a sausage dog. Girafarig was cool too with the small head chuckling

I considered getting this as a tattoo for a while.

gen 2 (expressive and aesthetic) > gen 4 and 5 (Platinum got the best ones) > gen 1 (really dig how weird some of them look) > gen 3 (blandest of the bland)

I really like the 3ds models though. They look and feel like Pokémon to me, while Stadium/Colosseum/etc. models never did to me.
