As far as rare legitimate shinies go I had the idea that Manaphy was the top one, what with having to get the egg, trade it to another game and hope the TIDs in it make it shiny. Otherwise reset and trade back before hatching, start another file for another pair of TIDs and try again.

I had no idea about Celebi though.

As for the others, if you transfer a pokemon from Gen 1 and evolve it into a cross-gen evo, like Porygon2, Scizor, Crobat, Electivire, etc, it is now an illegal pokemon. Because you can't obtain those pokemon in the Gen 1 VC

And if you bred an island scan species with its HA in Alola (like Contrary Serperior or Shadow Tag Gothitelle) it is an illegal pokemon, because island scan pokemon can't have HAs.

Ageto Shiny Celebi's legitimacy was never proven, as there has been supposedly "extensive research" on the topic, but no actual evidence confirming if it was possible or not.

The truth is, even if it was possible, you cannot transfer a Shiny Celebi on Poketransporter, no matter what. These things were released in GEN 3 only, therefore the only way to obtain them is through transporter. Even if it were proven that Ageto Shiny Celebis were legit, it wouldn't matter, because they are locked out of current gens. Any Shiny Celebi you see outside of Gen 3 or 4 cannot possibly be legitimate.

It does not check IDs for legitimacy, it simply locks down "illegal combinations" Shiny Celebis are considered an illegal combination on Poke Transporter, therefore even if Ageto Shiny Celebi could be legitimate, it wouldn't matter, because Gamefreak locked it out of all future games.

I transferred the Gen2/4 HA event starters so I could start the process of breeeding them to have the HA and an Apricorn ball.
