Gen 5 was the best gen. I almost gave up on the series after Pearl. I never even finished HG. but I put in over 1000 hours into BW and BW2

pokemon dash was the peak of the franchise

i respect your views and what-not but i felt like gen 5 was really lackluster and more of a middle finger since it did the "two games now instead of one for third one" thing plus hid getting therian genies and some really good HAs behind a $10 app that was pretty shit outside of what you can get in all honest opinion, which was the biggest "pay to win" action gf has ever done
but it did have some good stuff like N questioning the morality of capturing pokemon and the different medleys of the gyms so it wasn't all bad, just not my cup of tea

I disagree. Imo the highest point was HGSS+BW1+BW2. Everything before and after (bar SM which I don't have an opinion on yet) was inferior. Just my opinion, though.

Although Gen 4 and 5 are still by far the best (pick your order) but no one can deny the mountainous drop from BW2 to X and Y
