I'm using it, works pretty well. Has a 3-star purple attack that's effectively a KO, and a 70-power attack to boot - not the best, but not to be sneezed at. Kirlia also works as a "defense" backstop - shuts down Ghosts, has a 2-star instant KO attack (which allows it to be shifted with a Pokemon anywhere, including in the Center to get your EX out), and has two fairly respectable white attacks.

so, I'm sure you've noticed, I have a Spinarak.

As I get the chance, I move fug to guard my goal, and move Spinarak in with its 3 MP and huge amounts of purple. Once Spinarak is near the enemy goal, I use a Switch plate to swap the two. Spinarak is also a great guard due to its purples, and now fug is primed for attacking.

I win most of my games with fug.

Nigga wait wins are practically my main way of winning. Put some beefcakes on their spawn watch them crash all their pawns into them and empty the board trying to get summoning back, win the turn they run out of mon on the board.

I know how they work. And I know I've yet to see plates left unused keep a match from ending, which means if they do it at all it has to be only plates that let you get mon on the board, not things that would power them up but leave them on the bench or things with no valid targets like switch.
