What do you expect? /vp/ loves hating current gen, regardless of how good or bad it is. Gen 6's flaws, mainly difficulty and bad characters, haven't gone away. It's just people have looked at the positives and realized that positives outnumber the negatives by a large amount.

GOATS are still Crystal/HGSS and BW2 to me, XY's personally behind them and has been for quite some time

Because they had more time for those. They already had a full region from BW, had to make no new Pokemon after BW, the soundtrack was mostly the same. Even with all of those, they took 2 fucking years to release BW2.
For SM, they had to make 3D models, not sprites, for all the humans and Pokemon, a 3D region, had to make an actual story with good characters, and add a shit ton of gimmicks. And they still had only 2 years.

Basically, there was no way BW2 wouldn't have more content than SM.

6th Gen is so vastly superior to 7th that it's not even funny.

When hgss was released the general consensus was that it was a good, quality game.
