I've found that the ones that everyone harks on about being ugly or stupid end up my favourites. I don't know if it's because I feel sorry for them, of I just like tough/goofy looking Pokemon. Does that make me a contrarian? I still like some popular ones too, like Charizard and Mewtwo.
