We always argue about which games are the best, but what about the games that are just in the middle? Not bad, but not really exemplary (meaning they excel over every other Pokemon game) either. Games like FRLG, Platinum, or BW1.
So, which one is your favorite? For what reasons? Discuss.

HG / SS was my favorite - main reasons were:
>Nostalgia
>Two regions
>Pokemon follows you around
>Battle Frontier
>Pretty much all the legendaries from the current and previous gens were obtainable (including the Fug)

Though making a shitty game less shitty doesn't make it good, so I kind of agree with him.

I'd say Sun and Moon qualify, and possibly ORAS. SM are awkward games that nonetheless deserve some respect for their unique formula and excellent story/atmosphere, while ORAS is a solid package but doesn't really stand out in any way compared to B2W2 and HGSS.
