am I missing something or are gems ridiculously expensive (in terms of real world dosh)
even if you buy the $31 pack, thats 504 gems which nets you a 6 pack and a 4 pack
so 10 packs total

I'm sure my perception of gem worth is skewed because of the intro throwing gems at us but that doesn't feel like its even close to worth spending any money on

I have a $30 gift card thats rotting away because I don't have anything to spend it on, and even so I feel like its a waste to use for what is in the long run such an insignificant amount

if they're useful at every stage then its good to do the evo line
squirtle is decent with 3 mp and a nice withdraw ability
so you can move him around and if you get to evolve him its a good way to get a fat blastoise further on the field
but squirtle isnt likely to be winning many battles to evolve in the first place

Any 1 MP Pokemon works good as a defender. They don't move much, and have high damage. Charizard and Metagross are my favorite EXs for the job. Zard can get ridiculously high damage, and Metagross has a Yellow attack, so it can stop Purples sometimes.

At least Pokemon Duel actually is a game for all its flaws. It's incredible how all the other Pokemon spinoffs were better at launch than Go is after half a year of nothing-updates.

I feel like they didn't structure the early game that well. I wasn't at risk of running out of energy for like the first 4 towers or something. Every time the bosses just refilled me so at one point whenever I turned the game on I was just grinding random stages so I didn't "waste" the refills.
