Yeah, why even bother shiny-locking the UBs? I can understand if it was something with an overworld model, like Solgaleo/Lunala, for consistency. But they already robbed us of overworld models for UBs because they were lazy.

How so? It removes the ability for people to obtain something they've always been able to obtain otherwise and relegating it to events, which are vapid and worthless anyway in a gameplay sense, as it's just giving you a free mon. It literally takes away an ability you've always had, regardless.

tangential and unimportant, I know Nebby is shiny locked, but what if it wasn't and it was determined as you first saw it, so that in all the cutscenes you could see that shiny Nebby going about. I think it would be cool.
