Start off battles with Encore to trap any setups and baiting physical assaults, as per Encore goes. Works well for setting up teammates as all three of its weaknesses can be checked by immunities/sap sipper.
People rarely use special attacks against a Primarina so the relaxed nature and defense EVs usually catch them off guard and result in being able to rinse Encore uses on several occasions or just out damaging them if they don't have any special bulk of their own.
Aqua Jet is just there for toughing out kills if they're locked into a non-priority move and we both stay in, but replacing it with a coverage move is probably more suitable.

I use super luck absol in OU to break setup tanks.
I use shell smash crustle for fun in OU.
I use galvantula a bunch in all tiers.
I use shell smash shuckle occasionally.
I use walrein in ou after baton passing ingrain and aqua ring with protect, hail, sheer cold and substitute.

I use unaware Pyuku in OU/UU with a soak/tox + counter set. The only thing it worries about is shit like raikou, thunderus, and pheremosa. Gets some really funny kills with counter + tox.

I also run Rotom-Heat with a trick specs set as an anti-lead and pivot. For RU last gen I ran it as Rotom-Fan, Most people expect me to be using it like Rotom-Wash so they switch in prime stuff to give a pair of glasses to.

Nobody really expects Bond on non-mega Gengar, or at all anymore after the nerf. Icy Wind slows faster threats for Bond KO or is just good coverage.

Z Belly Drum guarantees you get to bang the drum, then their mum and you can use it as a free full restore if you vanilla drum beforehand. Alternatively, Body Slam is great for neutral coverage + paralysis and gives you a 160 BP Breakneck Blitz if you need to nuke something quickly.

I used this set with my bro in the last gen Ubers

You mean OU/UU. Unless you're talking about the current volatile RU which is literally just UU at the moment,
