Only if you use thunder punch or mach punch, outside of that it's eh.

Infernape will often find itself brought down to sash so going out with one beefed up Flare Blitz isn't a bad idea for Stealth Rock leads.

Why would Sash Infernape run Flare Blitz over Overheat?

I run iron fist with a mach punch set to kill things that are faster in 1 hit like weavile, use blaze if you dont use tpunch or mach punch

i like using Infernape with Iron Fist with Choice Band with Flare Blitz/Close Combat/U-Turn/Mach Punch, i use him as lead most of the time u-turn out of anything CC or Flare Blitz cant deal with unless im just slower then ill mach punch

Iron First gives stronger Mach Punch and Thunderpunch, meanwhile a large amount of Infernape run Flare Blitz, a Blaze boost would pretty much guarantee it to die from recoil

As suicide lead + Focus Sash or if it's just holding Focus Sash, an increase in Mach Punch's damage is a better option than not having it.

Not him but my Infernape lead in AS didn't need Sneaky Pebbles, he always does a great job as Suicide Lead with Close Combat, Mach Punch, Flamethrower, and Earthquake.
