Ok, so, theoretically, it's possible for gen 1 mins to be shiny after bank. Does that mean it's possible to get a shiny no guard fissure machamp? Not joking. Does PkHex have a thing for gen 1 yet, for shiny by IV's? Even if not, if it's possible to get a shiny PID at random when banking gen 1 mins, then one could just reroll for a shiny PID in PkHex, right? It has to be possible, I need some old gen 1 sets, but my OCD prevents me from having more than one, and my autism dictates it must be shiny, to maintain my living shiny sex. What do /vp/?

It's impossible because RBY Machamp can only have Steadfast as an ability, and the ability capsule can't switch from/to HA's.

No guard isn't an HA, is it? I thought it was just his second ability, and steadfast was gen 4, right? I thought it had guts.

Ok, pay attention. Guts and No Guard are its main abilities, Steadfast is its HA. There's a chance that any gen 1 mon will have its HA upon transfer, which means there's also a chance it won't. It could be tricky, and even take a little while, but, technically, it is possible. No clue about the being shiny though. Anyone able to confirm?

Either look it up, or try it yourself. You can't get main ability transferred pokemon from RBY unless they DON'T HAVE HA's. If it actually is chance-based, then yes you could theoretically have your super autism machamp. Given how upset people were yesterday when it dropped, I'm inclined to think that it isn't chance based.

machop will always have it's HA when you transfer it
