I don't understand why legal pokemon can't be transferred back. I didn't move my living dex because of this.

it really was not this time. The bank seemed to be the solution. Everything was highlighted as a one way trip before. Going from gen 6 to the bank is NOT a one way trip. Its the point of the bank.

I moved the remaining mons into the bank but It sucks I have to go back to ORAS to breed a specific mon into the game. Legendaries would have to be traded tho

I agree, mostly because the menus are so fucking choppy in SM. Going back and forth from it to XY to prep all my guys for transfer made me sick.

Can you still transfer between Gen 6 games using Bank or does it immediately lock the Pokémon to Gen 7?

Mons that have been moved to gen 7 have a white square border around them and can't be moved to gen 6. You can move everything else freely though

Sun and Moon have disappointed me so much, I'm not even sure if I want to take Mewtwo to Alola for the champion ribbon now.

I mean, I've gotta do it eventually because there's also Hyper Training but damn... I just don't like Alola at all. Boring region, bad story, lack of interesting content. At least the Pelago is cool...
