I'm not sure why people keep listing this as a standard fighter trait for Pokken.

Also, Pokken's meter is also non-traditional, since it isn't directly tied in to performing EX moves.

The great Harada himself said this is not true, or at least not intended to be high to low like typical fighting games. That is one of the game's biggest weaknesses to me and I like Pokken.

Absolutely, but both are still there. Pokken certainly makes a few changes to a lot of the core fighting game concepts but they are all still very present and it still plays like a traditional fighter, just with it's own quirks.

It's a far, far cry from either the naruto games, or something like smash in that regard
