Now that Bank has the National Dex, they don't have to care about the main games having them. Sure, remakes of older games might still have them, but they don't have to add it in new games anymore. Why bother when they could just continue updating Bank?
So go ahead. Transfer over your bros from your older games and watch as they don't get PokeDex entries or anything.

I think they're finally acknowledging that the average fan is not going to collect around 1000 monsters each and every time a game comes out. Now, catching them all has gone back to a reasonable goal for most of the fanbase if it's just the regional dex of 300 or so.
