I reckon it's taking so long because... pokemon go compatibility, otherwise I don't see why it's taking forever, sun and moon aren't desperately different mechanically from oras/xy and there's no way that making a converter from rby would take longer than a week with modern tech. But getting the 3ds to talk to android, iphones and whatever else could take some serious doing. That's just my theory.

And for everyone else. It clearly states in the Jap site that it's coming in the last 10 DAYS of the month, so if it doesn't come by then they'll have to at least announce the delay somewhere.
