I'm pretty sure in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire Pikachu's cry is the same as in the anime

Pikachu's so far the only Pokemon who's cry is its anime cry.

In the games, overworld Pokemon sometimes say their name, sometimes don't. I guess this means they all have a different vocal range and can make a number of different noises.

Interactable Pokémon in the overworld will often say their names, but I don't know if this is true for the Japanese version.

Either way, it isn't the only thing they can say, as some Pokémon will make more natural noises in text, and their cries typically sound nothing like their names.

The only acception is post XY Pikachu.

Seeing the DPP cry system made me remember Abomasnow sounding like he was saying "FELIZ NATAL" to me which is like "Happy Christmas" in Portuguese.
