Adding taxonomic depth to Pokemon would be pretty interesting, especially if they made it actually relevant like egg groups.

Like add Pokemon that can only be acquired by breeding separate Pokemon within egg groups or add Pokemon mutations that can only be acquired by breeding. So you breed a Pokemon x amount of times and occasionally you get a different Pokemon which can then be bred.

Just for the love of god do something not shit with pre-existing Pokemon holy shit. No more of this Digimon retardation.
