Alakazam-M is very good. Trace is a great ability that shitters can't use, so being able to come in on a Heatran magma storm/plume, absorb it etc works really well. It can also trace swift swim and given how popular rain teams are, this is a big deal

It requires a lot of support but yeah it's top tier.

It benefits hugely from Psychic Terrain. Blocking Sucker Punch and Shadow Sneak is probably an even bigger help for it than the boost to Psychic attacks, which is why people keep saying it should gain Psychic Surge.

Tapu Lele also beats the Dark-types that threaten it, but the shared weakness to ghost and similar coverage besides Fairy isn't desirable.

Also Megas are banned in VGC and Smogon Doubles isn't a particularly popular metagame.

Decent, Trace can be great at the right moment, but all to often is just useless. If it doesn't secure the OHKO, it is probably dead, which is obviously a problem. One of the better ways to use your Mega Slot, but still not as good as Scizor or Megagross in most situations.
