I would rather give it recovery but a variant with this typing would be a much better tank, so many more resistances and less weaknesses.

I was just thinking of Lapras. Never really understood why it had an Ice typing in the first place. Dragon/Water or even plain Water makes more sense.

Here, I'll do one more: have Blissey gain Fairy typing upon evolution making it Normal/Fairy but keep Chansey as pure Normal type. That will give them more distinction in the metagame.

Bug shouldn't be resisted by:
Fairy (bug should be super effective vs fairy)
Ghost
Poison
Fighting (it also shouldn't resist fighting)
It should also be weak to ice.


Ice should be slow strong defences where as bug should be nasty biters but poor defensively.

ice is a fucking curse as a typing instead of a blessing. Anything that has ice typing would be so much fucking better without the ice typing with about 2 or 3 fucking exceptions.

Ferrothorn is good as a wall despite the fire and fighting weakness because it has key resistances. Alolan Sandlash can't switch into shit because Ice fucking sucks. Same with the hypothetical Mega Avalugg

A-Sandslash needs another Ice Type in the team to make it faster and boost its SpD with Aurora Veil, but who would want to have two ice typed Pokemon (despite having Steel and Fairy secondary typing) on a team... doomed to fail.
Vanilluxe on the right team became quite viable and I use one myself.

both. Stealth Rock and Stone Edge being coverage practically every fucking Ground pokemon gets is one of the reasons Ice is so fucked as a type. Fighting too, why is that Fighting gets to hit 5 types super effectively? That 5 types resist it is fake balance
