I'm not going to defend the rest of the game, but if you're going to complain about how Pokemon games need a real plot, you don't get to complain about having long endings. 10-20 minute endings are standard for most JRPGs, and that's what SM was trying to emulate.

Of course, the good endings are ones you never notice being that long in the first place, but come on
