I got 50 wins in super singles last night with:
Gengar @ Focus Sash
252 Spe/252 SpA
Timid
-Destiny Bond
-Sludge Bomb
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
Top Lel @ Choice Specs
252 Spe/252 SpA
Timid
-Moonblast
-Psychic
-Focus Blast
-HP Fire
Salamence @ Salamencite
252 Spe/252 Atk
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Double-Edge
Now I need a good doubles team. Would any of these 3 be good in doubles?
>>31462395
Talonflame just made me lose at 46 streaks, thanks for bringing that up OP
(At battle 25, currently taking a break)I'm the Missgross anon from previous thread, I changed my team a little bit but I kind of wanna replace Lele, as you can see, Greninja lost scald, I find water shuriken more useful. HOWEVER, if I happen to find an Incineroar, with all dead pokemon/Ninja+Lele stuck on Psychic and terrain still up, I'm fucked. Mat block is for a "free" DD on Megamence. Do you think I should get scald instead of Shuriken or drop Lele?
Salamence-Mega @ Salamencite
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Return
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
Greninja-Ash @ Life Orb
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mat Block
- Dark Pulse
- Water Shuriken
- Ice Beam
Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
Celesteela @ Leftovers
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower
Celesteela is there literally only for a safe switch-in if I ever need to use EQ.Also Mallow, if you wanna challenge me 4 times in a row, please do, you're giving me free easy wins
Would running Ninetales on a defensive team (Toxapex and Aegislash in particular) be any good? I haven't had any success with the offensive team below :
A-Ninetales @ Light Clay
Timid, Snow Cloak
- Aurora Veil
- Moonblast
- Freeze-Dry
- Encore
Mega Lucario
Adamant, Prankster
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Crunch
Garchomp @ Life Orb
Jolly, Rough Skin
- Swords Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
>>31463064
I don't think Aurora Veil has much synergy with either Toxapex or Aegislash, so I'd say stick with Garchomp at least; it loves Auroa Veil support.
I have used A-Ninetails with Weakness Policy Aegislash before, and while it's great on paper, Aegislash tends to waste a lot of turns of AV to King's shield. It's doable, since not a lot of battles last longer than 8 turns, but don't be surprised if AV runs out at unfortunate times due to switching stances so often. Generally, I think Aegislash prefers status blocking from Fini's terrain over damage reduction, due to its already amazing defensive options and resistances.
>>31462682
>Mallow actually showed up three times in a row
>>31463208
>stick with Garchomp
Should I replace the Lucario with something else? Perhaps a Mega Gyarados?
>tfw lost on battle 38 to sweet kiss mega lopunny because of one turn of confusion
Life is not fair
>>31463262
M-Gyarados also loves AV support, so it's a good option. A special/mixed attacker would also be good, because Ninetails has mediocre offensive power, but there are few megas that are bulky AND specially oriented. Outside of Megas, Celesteela has good resistences and can threaten Ice/Fairies that Garchomp hates, and is hard as fuck to kill under Veil. Aegislash is still a good option, despite burning Veil turns, as well, since it's just so powerful even without support. Point is, a bulky Steel type is gonna do wonders to cover Ninetails/Garchomps weaknesses.
If you do run M-Gyarados, you might wanna put Poison Jab on Garchomp; otherwise, you're gonna get run over by Fairies.
>>31462505
Salamence is good for doubles if it has Intimidate.
What's a good set for Lycanroc-Night?
I have a Jolly and an Adamant, and both have Thunder Fang, Fire Fang and Sucker Punch as egg moves.
>>31463437
>poison jab
>160 power supereffective
>Earthquake
>150 power with STAB
Poison jab feels kind of weak really unless there's a fairy type out there that resists Earthquake too.
What do I use for Multi?
>>31463545
For singles, then Stone Edge, the two fangs and then something utility. Crunch and Sucker Punch aren't really doing anything for you, pick something more useful. I don't see why you would ever use Moondoggo in singles though.
For Doubles, Rock Slide and filler. In Doubles it is most definitely good, for this reason - it's a 60% chance to stop one of your opponents doing anything whilst also breaking sashes and Sturdy. That's a chance worth taking even in meme tree.
95% of the time as Lycanroc you will be just spamming Rock Slide (especially if choiced), but Stone Edge is worth running because it gives you very good focused damage on a single target. Don't make the mistake of assuming you can only run one Rock Move, you can and should run both as they perform entirely different functions. For filler, the Fangs - for some decent coverage, and the AI will notice them and be discouraged from spamming as many water and steel types at you.
Fangs are also super worth on Lycanroc-N as much like Rock Slide they won't miss and they are consistent in your role as a Flinchlord.
>>31463545
Adamant Scarf.
Max Spe and Max Attack
At level 50 Max Spe Lycanrog-Night hits 134 Speed, with a Scarf, that becomes 201.
And that's a magic number.
Run both Rock Slide and Stone Edge as this anon says >>31463822 and add whatever move that could help, even if its weak, Brick Break could help since the AI in the Tree and a fair share of people use Screens.
>>31463545
Why are you using night though? The midday form is better.
>>31463884
Because I have Moon... and I want an answer to brightpowder/minimize fuckery
>>31463861
>>31463822
Thanks for your suggestions
>>31462682
YES, I did it. I almost lost at 48 because a snorlax paralyzed and got a crit on Megamence but Lele and Space waifu of healthy meta saved me.
Not to mention, this time around was Blue that went full retard. Also how did I outspeed M-Aero with Mat Block Ninja? I know for sure it doesn't have priority and mega aero has 150 base speed so...I'm guessing he was adamant?
Z3JW-WWWW-WWW4-NGL3
>>31463935
Mega Aerodactyl in the Tree has no speed investment and is slightly slower than fully maxed base 105 speed
>>31464001
Oh I see, I was also kinda disappointed that Mat Block isn't priority because this time the Tree threw at me a fuckton of Eevolutions, Jolteon being up front 99% of the time, at least they all had Thunder, which out of the 5/6 Jolteons I found hit a grand total of one (1) times
best set for 'zone?
>>31464400
The set I'm running isnt the most optimal but its working alright
Modest 252+ Sp.Atk 252 HP, 4 Sp.Def
Sturdy
Air Ballon
Tbolt
Flash Cannon
Hidden Power Dark
Tri Attack
>>31464518
>HP dark
On what would you even use HP dark? Did you just injected it without bothering to change the HP type to fire or did you breed one that ended up a shit HP type?
>>31464547
*ended up having
>>31464547
I was doing some fast breeding and it was the only one I got that wasn't HP Steel, so I just said fuck it
I might go back and rebreed later
>>31463794
Depends on your partner.
>>31464584
I'm so stupid can't even unlock Super Multi,
I just have the breeder girl with Barbaracle and Hawlucha as a partner, went to 18 and lost to a Gastrodon
was using Minior and Garchomp
>>31464547
>Injected
>>31464639
Play some Super Singles if you have them and try to scout around a bit to get better partners.
Does anyone have a good set for Tapu Fini in doubles?
>Cynthia, you could have helped us win that 49th battle by simply using Earthquake right away
>But noooooooooooo, you had to use Sandstorm first
>And let that somehow faster electivire beat garchomp with an Ice Punch
>Setting into motion a chain reaction that ruins everything
>I need to take a freaking break
>Team up with Nigress Veteran with Azelf/Thundurus
[Earthquake intensifies]
Who's the best partner for multi?
>>31465295
Anyone with probably a legend/pseudo/mega
>>31465295
I got to 50 with Cynthia's mega Garchomp (forgot what her other was), just by using Talonflame to provide Tailwind or priority Supersonic Skystrike.
>>31464777
>777
N-Nani?
Post your team and current streak with it, in any format. I want to see what other people are doing.
Anyone else constantly using grab bag teams? I got all the stamps so I just want to get a daily streak of 30 for muh bottle caps.
