Dude, the BW1 gate was hype as fuck. The first time I saw it I spent 20 minutes in awe before leaving. Then they somehow managed to top it off with N Bridge, N Castle and fucking new battle music for N followed by Ghetsis stealing Arceus drums only to culminate on the most epic ending theme for Pokémon.

B2W2 might be the better game, but BW where made of hype.

I still enjoyed them, but fuck, it only got worse when his important po town fight was the same shit. Was mad until I had my ass handed to ke,for the first time in the game by him at aether

I don't think shit got any more real than when N raised the castle right from underneath the Pokemon League and then all of the Gym Leaders (who until that point in the series, were just minor characters that you battle once and forget about) all come to the rescue. They felt... real. They were really there to defend their nation from harm as their duty as Gym Leaders.

Then Gen 6 went back to having useless and forgettable as fuck Gym Leaders. At least with Gen 7 they made the Trial Captains and Kahunas memorable and felt like real people, complete with their own homes and lives.

Deoxys. Nothing else even comes close.

My Team was Decidueye, Mimikyu, Poliwrath, Tapo Koko, Weavile, and Solgaleo at 55. I hadnt trained it at all. Led with Solgaleo against Pikachu. It got OHKOed by Volt Tackle, and Pikachu either died to recoil, or was close enough to be picked off by ice shard.
