How many rare chinese only animals are there? A lot of pokemon based on animals are animals that also exist in China. Also, Infernape is loosely based on Son Goku, one of the characters from the chinese folklore tale, Journey to the West. We also have the Mienshao line that you mentioned, why do we need specifically Chinese pokemon?
