why would a steel type with recover care about magic guard? it resists stealth rock, can't be poisoned due to steel type, immune to sandstorm and lolhail is not used. burn immunity is whatever because burn was nerfed and it has recovery to offset that anyway. it's not staying in on grass types, so who cares about leech seed. spikes is about the only thing magic guard would help with and even then that's not a big deal, because if you're letting your opponent set up enough layers that it bothers your team then you're doing something wrong anyway.
