In my case, I'm gender picky based on appearance for mons that can be male or female. For example I can't stand to catch a male lanturn because I can't nickname it rhonda.

Also I nickname my lanturns rhonda.

There has to be a color balance in my team

When I create teams, I get bothered as fuck if I don't have 3 shooters and 3 hitters. I know this little rule of mine has nothing to do with good teambuilding, but it still makes me feel better about a team if I can get the 3 and 3 balance. I also separate similar looking mons and try to make my team preview look as intimidating as possible.

This isn't really autism though. some Pokemon blatantly look more feminine or masculine. Like how the fuck can Machamp be female?.

I kinda wish you could play without genders, or at least make the icon not blue/pink so i notice it and it bothers me enough to flee the battle and get a different one.

Though if it's a rare Pokemon or starter, fuck it i'll just deal with it.

Ingame i can only use pokemon from that generation, which has been shitty in gen 6 and 7 because there's barely any new fucking pokemon
