Drew something quick when I thought of worms, wormholes, and spaceships. Unsure if I'll go through with it, so if anyone has a better take on it then feel free to take the concept.

>>31437630
This is the third time I see you post this, and while it stays accurate to your origin, we're still just looking at a fish with arms. Not sure how to improve it, I just get an overall feeling of "eh" from it since the concept is so uncommon knowledge, with no interesting features that will make me remember it once I look away.

Trying to design a final evolution for these. I'd like Wallaton to evolve using a shiny stone, that later becomes a glowing horn on its final evolution. I also liked the idea of it hurling all its gold into the air as it evolves, melting it and then coating the top of its body with gold. Too flashy? Open to suggestions.

I don't know what to tell ya man. Even your average day to day mothman is just an owl that turned evil. You just got to accept that any mothman you see is going to be "edgy"
>>
>>31438613
If you want to go defensive, it could become a sturdy turtle-like steel/dragon with a shell encrusted in cold and gems and oversized forearms so that it can dig for more precious metals.
Alternatively, it could become a glittering, hypnotic serpent with golden fangs and shining eyes. If one meets its gaze, they are compelled to offer it money and other valuables.
>>
>>31440482
Oh fuck yes I love both. Would it be crazy to make a split evolution? One with a dawn stone and one with a shiny stone? Thanks anon..... although with a gimmick evolution from the first stage, maybe a split evo would be a bit too much.

Not sure where to go with this right now. I did very fast doodles for the possible bulky and serpent evolutions. I'm not sure if I like either. I like how the bulky one looks like the gold fell on and hardened over the top of the body, but I dislike how chunky it is. I will probably take some texture choices of the large one and apply it to a bulkier version of the thin one.

The jump between the mid and the final is a bit too jarring.

The middle form is great.

The first form is.... hmm well I guess it's the hairline that I don't like. The hair makes it look like someone's fursona.

I had this idea for a Rock/Dragon pseudo line.

Basilet -> Basileer -> Basimuth

General idea is a basilisk. It'd likely be purple in color with 4 eyes (2 on each side of the head)

Basilet has only 2 legs (like Gible but no arms)

Basileer has 2 plus some crystal formation on the spine and a longer neck and tail

Basimuth has 6 legs, long neck and tail(basically a snake at this point but with 6 legs), and its entire back is formations of bismuth.

Abilities include Compound Eyes and Intimidate, as well as "Opportunist" an ability that works like Merciless but for paralyzed enemies.

Moves include Glare, Power Gem, Coil, fang moves, Stealth Rock, and Baleful Gaze, an 80 BP dragon type special move that has a 50% chance of paralysis.
>>
>>31451678

If you have any basic artistry skills I would love to see them drawn out.
>>

>>31450429
I love it.

I'm a huge nerd for Yokai and Japanese folklore as well as folklore in general so I approve of Yokai Pokemon on default but I really like the designs of both of these and both the Abura Akago and Akaname are some of my favorite Yokai.

Bit of suggestion though. Could they be both Ghost/Poison type seeing as there is a theme with oil and filth with both of the Yokai they're based on?

>>
>>31451311
I always see this awesome fakemon posted but I never look at it enough to figure out the type of the base form

>Red is machamp, fighting type
>Light blue is...sigilyph? flying type?
>Orange is cyndaquil, fire type
>Dark blue is druddigon, dragon type
>Magenta is malamar, dark type
>Cyan is glalie, ice type
>Neon green is spiritomb, ghost type
>Purple is arbok, poison type
>Light green is pinsir, bug type
>Yellow is pikachu, electric type
>Brown is barbaracle, rock type
>Gray is stoutland, normal type
>Fuchsia is reuniclus, psychic type
>Blue is mantine, water type

If spiritomb is ghost, malamar is dark, reuniclus is psychic and mantine is water, what type is the base octopus supposed to be when not imitating?
>>
>>31452065
It's Swoobat not Sigilyph

Regardless it should drop Mantine as a form and just be Water/Mimicked mon type
>>
>>31451912
>>31451949
Dang man these are top tier. You could make an entire region based around just Yokai themed Pokemon at this rate.

Maybe you could make a Tsukumogami Pokemon in similar vain to Rotom with different forms based on inanimate objects like the Kasa-Obake and such, each with there own secondary typing added to it's Ghost typing?

>Default Form - Ghost
>Kasa-Obake Form (Parasol) - Ghost/Flying
>Bakezori Form (Sandal) - Ghost/Ground
>Kosode-No-Te Form (Kimono) - Ghost/Fighting
>Morinji-No-Okama Form (Tea Kettle) - Ghost/Water
>Ungaikyo Form (Mirror) - Ghost/Psychic
>Shogoro Form (Gong) - Ghost/Steel
>>
>>31452065
Maybe it can be pure Water type but gains a secondary type depending on which Pokemon it's imitating like Water/Poison for the Arbok form, Water/Fighting for Machamp etc.

Not only that but maybe it's stats also change along with it's typing?

Mantine form is still pure Water typing but it's Speed is doubled.
>>

>>
>>31454452
>180 attack and 110 speed
>180 STAB signatue move
That's broken even for a pseudo. It might have 80 accuracy but that's not even half bad for a mon with decent 100-80-80 bulk and that typing.

The mon itself is bland and edgy even if unintentionally, and has been done to death
>Red-and-black OC that fights "evil and darkness" or a variation
>Boosted stats
>Boosted abilities (defiant on a mon with 180 attack; dragonate probably does what I think it does, which means dragon type boosted return with no drawbacks; well at least hyper cutter is meh, but it doesn't fit at all since that ability is for mons with crab-like pincers and such)
>Boosted signature move that does pretty much the same as v-create except lowering speed (which is the only thing kinda balancing that out)
>"Extreme" base theme like omniforce, shadow power, or in this case, infinity energy

And I just spent 2 minutes writing full paragraphs about it in detail like an autist, so take my criticism with a grain of salt I guess.

I do want to see its prevos tho. I'm curious what they look like.

the dex was established before Fairy was a thing and it was too late to change
>>
>>31454452
Reminds me of Flamedramon and Guilmon combined. Stats also aren't really conveyed much in the design I feel. Also the dark colors and general devilish look make it look like the opposite of a Pokemon that "combats the forces of evil and darkness"

There's some neat stuff here, Anon. But all these sprites are incredibly static.

>>31462564
it looks like they're not animated, and it's not a gif, so of course they're static.

Considered scrapping this line since Primarina is a thing, but since Popplio didn't go in the direction I expected, I drew it together anyway. Actually not a starter but it did manage to become similar to some of them (like Empoleon and Samurott), but I hope I managed to make it stand out.

Actually thought about making it Fairy typed in the beginning, but now I chose a more offensive typing. It has more Sp Atk than regular Attack since there are so few things that can utilize Aura Sphere and Focus Blast on the STAB side, and I feel the moves work well with water mons thematically. Could work as a Water/Steel typing too, but I have one of those already.

As you can see, I haven't given the names much thought yet, so feel free to come with suggestions.

>>31456210
I can definitely see sheep being a good firemon base, although the fire at the end of it might as well be removed since it just seems so nonsensical to have it there besides really emphasizing how it's fire type. Also, some people will compare it to Kidling, so be prepared for that.

>>31454452
Others have already said what I wanted to, it's essentially a bipedal dragon where you've added typical fire type traits (flame marks on both hands and legs for instance) to justify its typing, so it just comes off as something that you drew based on its typing alone. As in, no particular concept behind it, so it becomes a forgettable design. Also find it odd how its signature move is a punch when it has really long claws, but you do you.

>>31451912
Been ages since you last posted this exact image, so at least flesh it out some more rather than just posting the same image expecting different replies. Come on man.

has no rock features or unifying theme between the evo besides being a woodland creature, plus loses tail in the male evo. Maybe make the pinecone something on its body that it can through like grenades or something?
>>
>>31451628
this one is good. Maybe drapes could be turned into arms? Maybe slightly less humanoid too.

>>31454452
Digimons get out

>>31456907
Can't complain would maybe add a different color to its final evo's palette so it's not just brown tones.

>>31458798

I really like the different cultures/empire thing you have going with the starters, but that elephant is pretty bland, and the shogun could use a better pose. Anyway, there's some really solid shit here. Good job.
