My friends who do play Pokemon only bother with the story, the game is basically over for them once they finish the elite 4.
So all I have for competitive is /vp/, Battle Spot, and Showdown.

I have two friends who like pokemon but they only played x and y so they find it boring. One of them took the gen v sucks meme seriously. As in he never played it but says it's shit.

I have another friend who likes pokemon but only for the mons themselves and dislikes the games. He loves sudowoodo.

And I have one last friend who was a complete normie who thought pokemon sucked, but I got him into the games after he tried PMD sky I also think that game made him waifu Ninetales and Vulpix too, but I'm not sure, he's obsessed with those two now but he's always been such a normie I don't really know

Yeah nowadays I have two friends I battle with sometimes. One is almost exactly at my level of skill and training, the other has perfect mons that sweep me nearly every time. Both are fun to play with. It adds a lot to the game to play with someone irl.

Same. I tried to convince my friend to either start breeding for competitive or shiny hunt but he quickly gave up on that. The only thing he'll do once he beats the story is try to complete the Pokedex and that's it.

I've got a couple, but the majority of them are casual players who barely finish the games.
One of them is as far gone as I am though. It's nice to have someone to talk pokemon with.

He's a small town country guy, who was too busy with real life during Pokemania, so he didn't even know who Pikachu was by name.

He told me he'll get into it for me cus he knows I really like those pocket monsters.

I bought him a new 3DS xl, but sadly he's crazy busy with truck driving, so he doesn't get to play too much.

He's my only friend, I kinda miss discussing pokemon in depth with people not named anonymous, but making friends is hard and I don't have time for them anyways.
