Literally the defense of most alolan pokemon. If they're so good why have i seen so few trick room teams.

He actually IS good in trick room. But trick room is still a shit strategy that will never be viable in singles until we get an automatic setter and an extender.

The root of the issue for singles TR is the fact that if trick room were made one turn longer to make it viable in singles, it would be too good in doubles. The obvious solution is to make it last a turn longer in singles exclusively, though it's unlikely Game Freak will think of that.

The game needs to support a format where Trick Room is always on. Like the Inverse Battles in XY, except not just a single battle once a day but an entire Battle Frontier-like setup, or else an option in Battle Tree, or something.
