I feel guilty every day because a friend (we weren't close, we knew each other for a few weeks) had told me that he was struggling with depression. I asked him if he wanted to talk about it but he declined. He disappeared for a week but I didn't realize because it was finals so I thought he was busy studying. He had committed suicide. I have an unhealthy passion for 6-0ing people who are new to the game.

As much as people call the exp share a casualization, I just lose all interest when playing an older game and stopping to grind. Especially if the pokemon I'm trying to grind has no particularly good area to grind due to their type. This makes gen 4 a bit of a pain. Trying to reach late 50's with a fire type is a nightmare. Never mind johto's level "curve". Every time I play hg/ss I get to to Clair in the early 30's so the game grinds to a halt.

Due to this i generally heal spam my way through older endgames as I do them underlevelled.

I pretty much don't play Gen 4 often, and only play 1-3 on emulators with speed up functions these days for that reason. I'm playing HGSS right now, the grinding hasn't been as bad as I remembered it though, but I've got the E4 and Red grinds yet. Doesn't help it's a Nuzlocke of course.

I think the Audino grinding and fast battle pace are key factors in me loving Gen 5 so much, among the Unova Pokemon and story and other such stuff.

Ah, I remember AGNPH, I found it when I was like, 13, and went there for daily faps and good fics, I remember loving the fics by General Havoc. I didn't know the site was still around since I remember it going down all the time, thanks anon.

I was so sickened by pkhexing my non shiny mons that I legit restarted breeding and training them from scratch for Bank to port to Sun Moon so the guilt would leave my conscience. I never touched my legit shinies out of fear so I kept them.

If I hatch more than 400 eggs and no shiny, I take the best egg into pkhex and tic the shiny box. I then raise it normally as though it was a shiny I earned. Its literally indiatinguishable from a real shiny, and its completely legit but not ethical. I have caught several real shinies and bred about 12 legit ones, so my friends dont blink when I show them my newly hatched shinies and ny guilt is alleviated because theyre real legit pokemon.

I have two pentapergect shiny Pokemon fron heart gold that I caught using the "everything shiny 5iv" action replay cheat. Basically you put it on, run around the grass, and the Pokemon that show up are generated perfect shiny but 100% real. I've kept these mons for years and cherish them.

I unironically loved Pokemon X and Y. One of the comfiest regions, biggest regional dex of any Pokemon game, introduced Mega Evolutions, and finally gave us character customization. If there was more post-game and the characters weren't so weak, they'd be my favorite Pokemon games.

I enjoy replaying Blue more than the newer games, and I've played and liked them all. Literally none of the "flaws" and glitches bother me. Though I've been with the franchise since Gen 1, I actually enjoy every new main-series game despite their flaws. I've also been nothing but a casual with just enough knowledge of popular metagame to beat down my friends but nowhere near enough to take on anyone competent, and they see me as a great battler regardless. My ego is too fragile to turn away the praise.

I also enjoy the franchise from more of a fan-writer perspective than a player one but I'm incredibly lazy and hardly ever get anything more than a few choice scenes penned down, and even then the ones I write are usually smut. The friends who've read what I have written say it's good and I should keep going, but somewhere along the line early on in every arc I try to write there's just something I get stuck on and ultimately leave it hanging.
