I'd take the XY rivals over her any day.

I don't hate her, but Lillie. I think she's a pretty neat character, but I wish people would stop acting like she's this super deep new pokegirl. She has some cool character development for sure but she is not god's gift to pokemon characters.

I actually think the Gen 4 Rival has some of the best character development.

I actually liked Barry as well. Not sure if that's a unpopular opinion or that he's just not talked about. He was a friendly rival that wasn't a complete joke. And his relationship with his Palmer was rather neat.

Yeah, he's not talked about a lot. But he has some genuine growth which is really touching to see (especially right before the pokemon league)
