I don't get why the "devs" do this, sure it will get them more exposure but the project will be shut down in weeks if they keep advertising it. They should wait till it's almost done to do these videos.

It doesn't look like anything at this point.
I really dislike this "it's garbage" attitude, because if it's not a rom hack but RPGmaker or some shit, the amount of work needed to recreate pokemon is insane.
I've done some coding and pokemon is a mess of mechanics, it can take days to write a working script for a single move like Teleport.

Eventing that is the bulk of the work can take hundreds of man-hours, and you are now judging by art and graphic design which is the easiest, from what has to be done to get a game running.

It's such a shame that 95% of all games fail, what you see is some dumb fakemon with unimaginative concepts, what I see is some dude programming fucking stats and shit and testing and retesting for balancing issues for weeks.

These kind of videos should only be put out AFTER the game's been out for a while and there are no plans for any more patches.

Till then, the inevitable wave of nuzlockes and 2 threads on /vp/ along with one or two other fan sites that allow discussion of fangames should be enough to get the word out without attracting attention.
