Protean Greninja is great for coverage and switchups, but BB Greninja is useful for a focused powerhouse (like a mega with an item but no ability)

They do two different things. A-G is for sweeping late game when you know something won't take whatever hit you dish out. Protean is a good anchor, made even better because nobody thinks it's protean anymore

They don't do a similar role though. Ash-Gren forces a sack and then proceeds to shit on everything, while Camofrog forces the opponent to scout or lose something to a sneaky check.

This is misleading. Top 3 in a viability rank literally just means "these pokemon come first in alphabetical order". Ash-Greninja isn't more viable than Celesteela because it appears first.
