Why are spergs so upset over how this looks? Pokemon has had the most generic children's anime artstyle for decades, and it never really looked good outside of some scenes in movies. The best looking scenes are usually the ones where they go off model to express high-intensity action scenes. The whole concept of animation is based off tricking your eye to believe that static images are moving, and the more "realistic" you want it comes at a monetary and qualitative cost.
