Or they could have gone the Deoxys/Hoopa route with using external items on it to change its type so it could still hold an item.

Move tutors could give it access to some cool moves as well. Anything to make it more usable.

I'll be experimenting with arceus neo soon. Too bad he has no extremespeed.

They dropped the ball when it came to Silvally. Great design and lore, bit underwhelming in battle. Giving Memories the same proprieties as Plates would be a great buff by itself. Making Z-moves change its typing should've been a thing too. Lacking the two most overused moves on Arceus, being Recover and ESpeed. But, having access to the same movepool as Arceus would be welcome too. 95 across the board is decent, although 100 would've put it in a much favorable position and make it feel more like an evolution.

I fucking love Silvally but it suffers from actually making too much sense for Pokemon.

It's a knockoff made to rival legendary Pokemon and UBs. A patchwork in concept and execution and for how versatile it could be it just lacks certain offensive and defensive options to be useful over anything else that could be minmaxed to do so.

To me that makes sense perfect sense, it learns all the cool shit that'd make it the poster of a movie or to demonstrate how people tried and failed at making something that rivals god but it's really lacking competitively. Z-Parting Shot and Z-Explosion are about all I can think of using it for.

Jolly, Ground Memory. I have it on a team that tries to make full use of Tapu Bulu's grassy surge. Ground-type Multi-Attack won't get its damage reduced by grassy terrain.

It's pretty bad. Defenses are okay but no recovery and normal type make it lackluster, also Null's coverage is even worse than Sil's. Porygon-2 is pretty much objectively better.

Why did they have to make this thing so awful?
