Energy Burn: Moves that require a charge/recharge time no longer do, but cost 2 PP instead of 1 (3 PP if pressure is in effect).
Pokemon who get it:
Lurantis (Solar Blade, Solar Beam, Giga Impact, Hyper Beam)
Harden
>raises Def. by 1 stage
>reduces damage taken in the next turn by 25%
>doesn't increase Def. if it's at +3 or higher
Meditate
>increases Atk. by one stage
>if used by Fighting or Psychic types, the next move does twice as much damage
Howl
>Raises Attack and Speed+1
Basically DD for shitmons like Mightyena or Lycanroc-N
>>31391476
>Howl Typhlosion
I dig it.
>>31391492
specialy since is physical move pool is much better than special
>>31391458
>>31391476
Though I appreciate the enthusiasm, remember we are making new abilities. Still, good suggestions though, especially Howl for Arcanine.
>Sore Loser
Missed moves increase Attack +1 (doesn't count when missed by Protect/Detect variants but Fly/Dig variants count)
Pokemon who get it:
Regirock, Passimian
>Regice
Permafrozen
Decreases damage received from contact moves by 40%, and adds a 25% chance to freeze any pokemon that makes contact with it (Attacking and recieving)
>>31391578
>"Buff trash moves" in OP
>Abilities only pls
Come on.
>>31391700
>buff trash moves with new abilities
Y'know like Technician? But buffing actual moves makes for interesting reads too. I'm not picky.
>>31391617
With a name like that i'd expect a comatose reskin.
>>31391424
Leer
>Lowers Def and Accuracy by 1 stage
>>31391716
I figured it was more like "Scald burns at a 500% rate and that's what makes it OP, do this to a trash move and make it better."
Either way
>Boulder-Body
Grants user a starting +2 defense and special defense when entering battle, one time only.
Given to Rhydon, Golem, and Aggron
>>31391752
What the fuck? Are you retarded? That's broken as shit
>>31391760
He's fishing for (You)'s
>>31391752
Weaker Filter, but both defenses? Sure.
>Sudowoodo
Ligneous
Lowers the power of water type moves done to this Pokémon, and powers up this Pokémon's Grass Type Moves.
This is all because I noticed Sudowoodo has wood hammer.
Really mad Aurora Veil is only for Ice Types. Pic related would love a Grass type equivalent.Still holding out on my Grass/Fairy mega with Triage.
>>31391752
>Aggron
>hurr, let's give a pokemon with 70/230/80 defenses and Filter +2 to both defenses
>>31391752
>aggron
>M-aggron gets these boosts
>arceues how horrifying.jpg
>>31391769
>flying in the face of its schtick because yoy never played 2nd gen
>>31391770
Personally i'm still mad comfey isn't a split florges line evo.
>>31391792
I actually came up with that ability a long while ago and Sudowoodo was my only thought of something I could put it on without it being redundant.
>>31391752
>Aggron's boulder body raised its defenses!
>Aggron is reacting to its Trainer's Mega Ring!
GG
>>31391804
and neither of them are grass type
>Passing Gift
When this Pokemon faints, it leaves behind a random "gift" for the next pokemon switch in. The effects can be:
- +50% HP recover
- +1 stage boost to highest attacking stat
- +1 priority to next move
- heal status
Pokemon who gets it:
Delibird
>Vigor
This Pokemon's stats are all sharply increased (except evasion). Only activates if this Pokemon is the last healthy Pokemon on your team.
Pokemon who gets it:
Crabdominable, Ledyba, Simisage, Simisear, Simipour
Blaze/Torrent/Swarm/Overgrow
now boost all pokemons stats by 25% when hp is 1/8 or lower
Recycle
>When an user's attack misses, Heal the user equal to the Base Power of the move used.
Normal: Trubbish, Garbador,
HA: Wormadam, Gulpin, Swalot
>Parasect
Persistent
Is able to attack once after being knocked out.
This is due to Ophiocordyceps Unilateralis being a thing and wanting Parasect not to be oneshot.
>>31391831
Nice ideas, tho.
I'm running a pokemon RPG, and i use a lot of ideas like these to make the game better. i'll contribute with some changes and new ones that i've made.
>Anger Point:
+2~~+3 atk when the opponent lands a super effective move
>Color Change
Changes color before the move hits, and works on status moves.
>Damp
Activates Water Sport upon entering on field
>Download
Can see the Items or moves of a random pokemon of your enemy, while mantaining its current state.
>All weather abilities
PLEASE COME BACK I MISS U SO MUCH MY BABIES
>>31391770
Me too. Though if its Mega becomes Grass/Fairy, then I hope it actually gets some Fairy moves. It desperately needs better coverage.
>Registeel
>Regirock
>Regice
>Rhyperior
>Bastiodon
>Armaldo
>Escavalier
Armor Up
+1 defense each turn.
Windborn: Absorbs flying type moves (akin to water absorb), sharply boosting special attack. Immunity to ground type moves.
Chimecho exclusive
It still isn't enough
Palindrome: If this pokemon moves first, it repeats its move after the opponent has acted.
Girafarig exclusive
Reqwiliation: Sets toxic spikes if damaged indirectly
Qwilfish exclusive
Permanent Immolation: This pokemon takes no damage from water-type attacks. If the opposing pokemon is not at least partially fire type, it takes 1/8 HP damage per turn. Contact moves afflict burn status.
Magcargo exclusive
Colossice: Physical attacks from lighter pokemon do 50% less damage.
Avalugg exclusive.
>Mirror Bond
Half of the damage from Sp. Attacks are reflected back at the opponent.
Pokemon who get it:
Cryogonal, Bronzor, Bronzong, Carbink
>Twisted Surge
Creates a terrain that twists the dimensions (Trick Room).
Pokemon who get it:
Elgyem, Beheeyem
>Scatter Play
Auto lays Leech Seeds when it uses a non-damaging move (can't stack).
Pokemon who get it:
Lilligant, Sunflora, Bellossom, Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff,
>Piercing Points
Contact moves lower targets Defense.
Pokemon who get it:
Tauros, Escavalier, Maractus, Cacturne, Buffolant
>Build-Up
Picks up and adds surrounding junk to its body. Effectively Leftovers as an ability while also increasing Defense +1 at the end of every turn.
Pokemon who get it:
Garbodor, Wormadam
>Rugged
Nullifies effects of Terrains. Not sure who to give this one to.
>>31392209
Given its name, I would suggest a Ground (Mudsdale), Rock (Lycanroc), Fighting (Crabdominable), or even Normal (Ursaring) type.
Hopefully an ability like that exists next gen.
>>31391752
>what is roar/whirlwind
Fertilize
>Ground type moves heal this pokemon
Gainz
>This pokemon's Attack is boosted by 1 per turn
Distracting
>The opponent's Special Attack is lowered by 1 when this pokemon is sent out
Stonesmith
>Rock moves are boosted by 50%
Closeminded
>This pokemon is immune to Ghost type moves
Idk who to give there to. A lot of shitmons could probably use one of these abilities
>>31392301
I am legitimately surprised that we still have no Special variant of Intimidate after all these years.
>>31391424
Inner Focus: Now it also boosts Accuracy by 10%.
Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent/Swarm: Like Static and Magnet Pull, it now increases wild encounters with Grass/Fire/Water/Bug-types in 50%.
Healer: If the user has a status effect then the Pokémon that is switched in will have its status effect removed. (Is Mega Audino saved now?)
Gale Wings: Give +1 priority to all Flying-type moves except to attacking moves with more than 100 BP. (This could had been a better nerf to Talonflame instead of making the ability completely useless)
Corrosion: Poison-type moves do neutral damage to Steel-type.
>>31391880
>Download
>Can see the Items or moves of a random pokemon of your enemy, while mantaining its current state.
Sorry but Frisk and Forewarm exist.
>>31391815
Palosand maybe?? Already has water compaction.
>>31391852
Recycle is already a move and a better fit at that.
>>31391880
>Changes color before the move hits, and works on status moves.
Ghost and dragon say hi.
>>31391917
So is windborn volt absorb AND flash fire for flying, or just flash fire?
>>31392143
>scat play
Kill yourself
>>31391731
That gives me a silly idea.
Permafrost.
Tooltip - "This pokemon is always frozen."
Actual effect - Comatose reskin with Freeze instead, alongside a solid rock effect for contact-only fire/fighting/rock/fighting moves
It might get to NU that way! Maybe. Then again, it's still a slow ice type.
>>31391917
Wouldn't Palindrome also be on Alomamola?
>giga armor
>this pokemon does not take damage from any attack, physical or special
>>31395427
It just needs like seven hitpoints so that rocks and poison and shit can kill it over time instead of immediately
>>31394104
The thing is Ligneous means resembling wood.
Palosand resembles sand.
>>31395915
Give it to Torterra. Neutral to water normally, and now its stab grass hits like a goddamn truck
