Honestly if GF ever broke the original Fire/Water/Grass trio, I probably would actually move to Japan, live there a few years until I receive my citizenship and then while touring GameFreak I would bomb the entire perimeter as well as myself near the foundation, collapsing the building and killing everyone inside.

No, that sounds like being different just for the sake of being different. I don't see how the grass/fire/water starter options are holding the games back, and whatever creative ideas you have can still be included as wild pokémon.

I would love a game where I can pick any multi-stage non-legendary pokemon and have it be your starter. It'd be cool to have a Pawniard or a Ralts as your main bro throughout your league challenge
