I remember stop caring for pokemon with Gen 4, the starters and legendaries didn't interest me so I dropped with time. If PoGo was good for something was to bring the franchise back to me and others I believe. Being able to walk with your bros anywhere is neat already, the game has such potential, maybe some day we'll get what it was promised.

It's good for defending, hydro pump is super easy to dodge and twister does minimal damage. He does decent against dragonite if you don't already have a certified barney killer.
Gyarados still has a double weakness to electricity so he's not very helpful in gyms but high CP so who really cares.
