Source on this? I'm pretty sure it was just based on Hawaii with the Johto themed town being there because the location has arguably the largest Japanese garden outside of Japan.
Also what Sinnoh basis? Don't say it's just for the ice mountain being there.

Some Hoenn pokemon can stay, but I'm glad Hoenn is getting seen for how it truly is.
