The only nintendo properties that died are the ones that stopped making money, and even then some of them got brought back, namely Kid Icarus and Star Fox. Metroid also kind of came back but I don't think anyone bought those games.

The only permanent way to kill Pokemon is for Japan to be devastated by another earthquake or flood, the latter is reasonably likely since Global Warming isn't slowing down.

I think that Hawaii was a region Pokemon could have taken FULL advantage of to make a beautiful and exciting game that truly did feel new and amazing to play through. They utterly wasted the region, and wasted alt-forms that could have saved so many fucking Pokemon.

Since they made it an alola thing it cant be used for other mons in the next gens
So many mons would be made perfect by alt forms....
